Deciding to Buy

There are a few factors to consider when deciding to buy property. What are the property taxes, where are the schools, why is the seller leaving, what’s included in the sale, and how long has the property been on the market? These are all questions a McColly agent can help with so you can make an informed decision.

Preparing to Buy

Order a property survey to stake out property lines and have a home inspection done to check on items such as the roof and electrical. McColly Agents have access to a list of locally licensed vendors they can recommend. You’ll also need to determine what your total budget is. To be better prepared to make an offer, consider getting a pre-approval letter from one of our mortgage lender partners.

Inspection & Appraisal

Home inspections are a critical part of the home buying and selling process. Failure to obtain a home inspection could potentially cost you a great deal of money and hassles in the long run. McColly Real Estate agents can recommend a local, licensed home inspector.
